Day 01 :
Arrival in Lucerne by train 1st class from the Swiss border or airport.

Day 02 :
Board the historic Wilhelm Tell paddle steamer for the cruise to Flüelen. A meal is served on board in the first class restaurant. From Flüelen you continue your journey through the famous Gotthard tunnel to Bellinzona in panorama cars 1st class. Change trains and continue your joruney to Lugano. Overnight in Lugano.

Day 03 :
Time at leisure in Lugano. Enjoy the mediterranean atmosphere in the southern part of Switzerland. Stroll along the lakeside promenade or go up to Monte Bre or San Salvatore. Overnight in Lugano.

Day 04 :
Departure by the famous Bernina Express (coach) to Tirano (Italy). From there by train over the Mount Bernina to St. Moritz. This exciting trip takes you through three cultures from palm trees across the regions of eternal snow to the valley of the young Rhine. Overnight in St. Moritz.

Day 05 :
Day off for excursions. Overnight in St. Moritz.

Day 06 :
Today you board the Glacier Express which is one of the great train journeys in the world. You travel from St.Moritz to Zermatt. A 71/2 hour railway journey across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2'033 metres in altitude. Travel in comfort through the unspoilt natural beauty of a landscape rich in ancient, fragrant mountain forests, peaceful Alpine meadows, rushing mountain streams and mountain valleys, soaked in tradition and centuriesold culture. (Optional lunch - if required, please indicate on the booking request). Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 07 :
Full day at leisure in Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 08 :
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.

Day 01 :
Arrival in Lucerne by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 02 :
Enjoy a ride in the first revolving gondola to Mount Titlis. 3020 m/10'000 ft. In Lucerne you board the LSE-train to Engelberg. There a small gondola takes you up to the Trübsee. You continue your trip by another gondola to Stand. Finally the revolving gondola takes you up to Mount Titlis. For a spectacular, close-up insight into a glacier, you visit the glacier cave and ride the Ice Flyer chairlift. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 03 :
A two-train trip from Lucerne to Interlaken. First with the Brünig Railway via the wood-carving village of Brienz.Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 04 :
The beautiful Bernese Oberland! First from Interlaken Ost via Grindelwald or Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Wall. Then by Jungfrau Railway via the Eiger Glacier to the Jungfraujoch - at 3454 m/11,333 ft the highest railway station in Europe. Views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. Second overnight in Interlaken.

Day 05 :
Travel either via the Lötschberg base tunnel directly to Visp and further to Zermatt. Or by the Lötschberger - The new air conditioned train with big windows using the traditional scenic Lötschberg Line, passing the imposing Kander Viaduct, the helical tunnel around the Felsenburg and the descent to Brig with the imposing view onto the Rhone Valley and continue your journey to Zermatt (www.bls.ch/loetschberger). Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn, is the perfect Alpine resort. On arrival you might take the opportunity to go on an optional excursion to Rothorn paradise to enjoy the best view of the Matterhorn. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 06 :
Board the cogwheel railway up to the Gornergrat, with views of the majestic Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and other spectacular summits. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 07 :
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.
