Itinerary

Day 01
Arrival in Interlaken by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 02
Excursion from Interlaken up to the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe. From Interlaken Ost the train takes you via Grindelwald or Wengento the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Wall. The Jungfrau Railway takes you up to the Jungfraujoch - at 3454 m/11'333 ft the highest railway station in Europe.

Day 03
Rail trip by Brünig Express from Interlaken to Lucerne (panoramic seats in 1st class only). Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 04
Lake Lucerne cruise from Lucerne to Alpnachstad, then up to the Pilatus 2132 m/7000 ft by the steepest cogwheel railway in the world (from May/June to November, during winter you take the bus from Lucerne to Kriens and further with a panoramic gondola from Kriens to Pilatus). Time at leisure. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 05
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.

Day 01
Arrival in Zürich by train from the Swiss border or the airport. Enjoy Zürich - downtown Switzerland - and explore the famous Bahnhofstrasse for exquisite shopping. Overnight in Zürich.

Day 02
After breakfast you board the train to travel to Interlaken in the wonderful Bernese Oberland. Interlaken - the holiday resort rich in tradition, in the heart of the Swiss alps, situated between the Lakes of Thun and Brienz and at the foot the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau. Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 03
Rail journey with the GoldenPass Panoramic train to Montreux. Overnight in Montreux.

Day 04
The train and the postal car take you to the valley station Col du Pillon where you board the panoramic cable car which takes you to the eternal snow at 3000 metres in just 15 minutes. From the mountain top station you have access to all the glacier adventures. Experience the countryside either on optional add ons on spot such as a dog sled ride, a tour with the snow bus, a spectacular hike along a wellmarked train or enjoy stunning views of the most famous alpine peaks - Jungfrau, Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. To increase your adrenaline level, you may take a ride on the Alpine Coaster, the world's highest bobsleigh track. Overnight in Montreux

Day 05
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.

Itinerary

Day 01
Arrival in Lucerne by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or airport. A stunning setting, world-famous sights, exciting modern architecture, endowed museums and much more make Lucerne a thrilling city to visit. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 02
Morning excursion to Mount Titlis - at 3020 m/10'000 ft. From Lucerne the train takes you to the mountain monestry village Engelberg where you board a gondola which takes you up to the Trübsee. You continue your trip by another gondola to Stand and finally the first revolving Titlis Rotair cablecar takes you up to Mount Titlis. For a spectacular, close-up insight into a glacier, visit the glacier cave and ride the Ice Flyer chairlift. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 03
Rail journey over the Brunig Pass to Interlaken situated between the lakes of Thun and Brienz. Overnight in Interlaken

Day 04
Exursion to the Jungfroch - Top of Europe. The Jungfroch Railway takes you up to the Jungfroch-at 3454 m/ 11333 ft the highest railway station in Europe. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the alps. Overnight in tha Interlaken.

Day 05
Rail journey through the wonderful Bernese Oberland to the Valais, either via the Lötschberg base tunnel directly to Visp and further to Zermatt. Or by the Lötschberger - the new air conditioned train with big windows using the traditional scenic Lötschberg line to Brig and continue your journey to Zermatt, the famous resort at the foot of the Matterhorn. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 06
The popular Gornergrat Bahn, Europe's highest open-air cogwheel railway, takes you up to the Gornergrat 9.339 km away. On the Gornergrat viewing platform you are surrounded by 29 peaks rising to above 4000 m. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 07
Board the Glacier Express and enjoy one of the greatest rail journeys in the world. A 7½ hour rail journey takes you across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2033 m to St. Moritz. Overnight in St. Moritz.

Day 08
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.
