10 Downing Street
Trip to London can be started with a visit to the most famous address in
town - 10 Downing Street. The street has been named after the chief builder,
Sir George Downing. It is real treat to watch the famous black front door
where many historical announcements were made.
Big Ben
Contradictory to the first timers Big Ben is more than a huge clock
tower.The four dials of the clock are 23 feet square, the minute hand is 14
feet long and the figures are 2 feet high. To the surprise of many it has
cells where Members of Parliament used to be imprisoned for a breach of
parliamentary privilege in the past.
Madame Tussaud's Museum
One can actually feel the presence of almost all the legendary
personalities and superstars of the world here. The museum exhibits their
lifelike wax statues, which leave everyone spellbound.
The Tower of London
The tower is a reminiscent of Britain's ancient glory. A brief visit into
the palace enables one to view some of Britain's greatest treasures. There
are many myths and legends that enrich the history of this great landmark.
London Zoo
London Zoo is famous throughout the world for its prized collection. The
36-acre site is spread over three areas of garden, which are linked by
bridges and tunnels. Visitors have a thrilling time viewing rare animals
like lions, tigers, gorillas, elephants, giraffes, rhinos and bears. The zoo
also has few architectural wonders that add to the excitement and fun of
