Jodhpur
The royal city of Jodhpur has many stories to narrate. Explore the city and
listen to the stories silently narrated by the countless monuments located
in the city. Once the capital of the Marwar state, it was founded in 1459
A.D. by Rao Jodha-chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs who claimed to be
descendants of Rama.

Umaid Bhawan Palace
The royal city of Jodhpur looks lke a newly wed bride under sunshine. It
houses magnificent Umaid Bhawan Palace. It is an opulent edifice in which
there is a museum displaying some of the rare artifacts that date back to
the time immemorial. The palace was built during famine to provide
employment to the workers.
Mehrangarh Fort
Rajasthan is all about royalty and all this is realized more when one
visits the opulent Mehrangarh Fort. It is an exhilarating experience to
reach this 5-km long majestic fort, which is located on a 125 meter high
hill. The palace is matchless in architectural excellence with marvelously
carved panels, latticed windows and evocative names.
Jaswant Thada
This royal cenotaph in white marble displays various portraits of Jodhpur
rulers. Visitors get absorbed when exploring the beauty of the palace.
